Chicken Breeds

Buff Orpington

Its large size and soft appearance together with its rich colour and gentle contours make it a very attractive bird, they are also very docile and make ideal pets.
Orpingtons lay about 200 medium to large light-brown eggs a year.

Wyandotte

Wyandottes were originally bred as a dual purpose bird but due to the variety of colours they come in, have become a very popular show bird.

They lay around 200 light brown eggs.

We have them available in silver laced (shown opposite), Blue laced, Buff laced and Gold laced.

Jersey Giant

Named for their state of origin (New Jersey) and their large size, Jersey Giants are the largest purebred chicken breed.
The hens - which weigh around 4.5kg once fully grown - lay light brown eggs, around 260 a year.

We have them in black, blue and splash.

Cream Legbar

The Cream Legbar is a rare British autosexing chicken breed, it can be startled easily and its small frame means it can fly over low fences.
They lay around 180 blue/green/turquoise coloured eggs a year.

Silkie

Silkies are small, yet hardy, balls of fluff and make ideal pets, due to their docile nature.

They lay around 100 small white/cream eggs.

We currently have White, Black and Gold/Partridge cockerels running with White, Black, Blue Partridge and Partrige coloured hens, so there will be a mix of White, Black, Blue, Lavender, Paint and Black/Blue/Gold Partridge pullets available.
